Events — every field explained

What each field on the event form does, from the page address to the sales window.

Identity

  • Page address (slug) — the event’s URL on your site: yoursite.com/THIS. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens; it is what you share.
  • Published — unticked, the event is a draft: invisible on your public site and nothing can be bought. Tick when ready.
  • Name — the event’s title everywhere: page, tickets, emails.
  • Tagline — a short line under the name on the event page (optional).
  • Location — where it happens; shown on the page and in the ticket email.
  • Description — the long text of the event page: programme, what to bring, anything buyers should know.

If your site has both languages enabled, each of these appears twice (EN and PT) — fill both so each visitor reads their own language.

Dates and the sales window

  • Starts at / Ends at — when the event actually happens. Drives the countdown, the dashboard’s live mode on the day, and “event finished” afterwards.
  • Sales open at / Sales close at — the ONLINE selling window, independent of the event dates. Before it opens the page shows “sales open soon”; after it closes, “sales closed”. Leave blank for no limit.

The box office (in-person sales at the door) is NOT limited by the sales window — staff can always sell on the day.

Times are read as UK time (Europe/London).

Look and extras

  • Banner — the big image at the top of the event page. Upload one or reuse a previously uploaded image.
  • Theme — the colour skin of the event page. Same layout, different palette; you can fine-tune individual colours after picking one, with a live preview.
  • Ask for a donation at checkout — adds an optional donation section (£2/£5/£10 or custom) to this event’s checkout. Untick for events where asking does not fit.
