Acceptable Use Policy
FacilEvents exists for real events run by real organisations. This policy sets out what the Platform must not be used for. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited uses
You must not use FacilEvents to create, promote or sell tickets for: unlawful activities or events; fraudulent, fictitious or misleading events; counterfeit or resold tickets you have no right to sell; events promoting hate, violence, terrorism or unlawful discrimination; sexual exploitation or any exploitation of children; unlawful gambling or lotteries; unlawful fundraising or money collection; goods or services that are illegal or regulated where you lack the required authorisation.
You must not use the Platform for phishing, malware distribution, unauthorised access attempts, scraping of other organisations’ data, or any activity that exposes FacilEvents, its users or third parties to unreasonable legal or security risk.
2. Data collection through registration forms
Organisers must only request personal information from Attendees that is lawful and genuinely necessary for the event. Do not request health, religious, racial, biometric or other special category information unless you have determined an appropriate lawful basis and have a genuine need to collect it.
3. Enforcement
We may remove content, unpublish events or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe this policy, the Terms of Service or applicable law has been breached. Where reasonably practicable we will give notice, but we may act immediately where required to protect people, data or the Platform.
