The event day. Ticket Tailor is excellent at selling tickets cheaply; FacilEvents covers what happens after the sale: QR check-in run by several volunteers at once, a box office selling tickets and food to walk-ins, food vouchers redeemed at the counter without double-serving, and role-scoped screens so each volunteer only sees their job. You also get a full branded site rather than a checkout page.
Which is cheaper?
It depends on volume and ticket price. Ticket Tailor charges a small flat fee per ticket issued; FacilEvents charges £19.99/month plus 1% of sales. For a typical community event — say 200 tickets at £10 a month — 1% is £20, so the totals are usually in the same range. The difference is what is included: the event-day tooling and the branded site come with the subscription.
Can I take cash on the door?
Yes. The box office records cash and card sales at the door, so walk-ins end up in the same reports as online sales.
Do you support PayPal?
Not currently — FacilEvents connects to your organisation’s own SumUp or Stripe account. If your buyers rely on PayPal specifically, Ticket Tailor is the better fit today.
When is Ticket Tailor the better choice?
