A ready-made kids’ event preset for the attendee form: a ticket per child, guardian and emergency contact, medical, dietary and accessibility needs, and photo and parental consents. Ask only what the event needs; the school or PTA is responsible for what it collects.
Coupons for staff and courtesy tickets
Single-use code batches for staff, governors and guests, or a shared code with a limit and an expiry date — percentage or fixed, even per ticket type.
Tickets in Apple and Google Wallet
Paid tickets can sit in a parent’s Apple Wallet or Google Wallet as well as in the confirmation email. A printable PDF ticket can be included for those who prefer paper.
The gate without the queue
Every ticket is a QR code checked in from volunteers’ phones, several scanning at once. No paper list, no name-searching, and a code fallback for lost emails.
Food and drinks by voucher
Burgers, cakes, drinks sold online or at the door — redeemed by QR at the counter so nothing is served twice. The kitchen sees only the kitchen screen.
No accounts, no app, no fuss for parents
Parents buy as guests and get the QR by email. No marketplace account, no app to install, no ads for other events.
Money the treasurer can see
Payments land directly in the PTA or school’s own Stripe account at the moment of sale. Reconciliation is your own bank statement, not a platform payout report.
Frequently asked questions
Do parents need to create an account to buy tickets?
No. They buy as guests, pay by card, and receive their QR tickets by email. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Can volunteers run the gate without training?
Yes — that is the design constraint behind the whole tool. A volunteer opens the check-in screen on their own phone and scans; duplicates are refused automatically. Each role sees only its own screen.
What does it cost a PTA?
Nothing for the school: £0/month and 0% FacilEvents fee, no card to start. Standard Stripe processing applies to card payments, and parents can add an optional contribution to FacilEvents at checkout. One fair of 150 × £5 tickets is £750 through a professional page, and the £750 is the school’s.
We are a registered charity — anything extra for us?
Yes: the giving module (donations with UK Gift Aid declaration capture and HMRC-ready export) is free, at 0%. Useful for donation drives outside event season.
Can we use our own web address?
You get yourname.facilevents.com immediately, and you can connect your own domain (e.g. events.yourschoolpta.org.uk) from the admin — SSL is automatic.
