FacilEvents for churches
Event ticketing and online giving for UK churches
Sell tickets for festivals, retreats and conferences on your church’s own branded site — with QR check-in, a box office and food vouchers for the event day. And receive tithes and offerings with UK Gift Aid capture at 0%, always free. Money goes straight to the church’s own account.
Built from a real church festival
FacilEvents was born at a community festival in Manchester that outgrew its bank-transfer spreadsheet — hundreds of tickets, QR entry and a food counter run from volunteers’ phones. Everything below exists because a real church needed it.
Festivals, retreats and conferences
Each event gets its own page on your church’s branded site — your name, colours and domain. Tickets sell online with per-attendee forms (dietary needs, kids’ consent fields), and the money arrives in the church’s own SumUp or Stripe account at the moment of each sale.
The door, run by volunteers
Every ticket is a QR code. Several volunteers scan in parallel with their own phones — duplicates refused automatically, with a short-code fallback for the person whose phone died. No training session needed.
Food counter without paper tickets
Pastel, cachorro-quente, drinks: buyers’ QR codes carry their food items, the counter scans and taps deliver. Nothing double-served, and the kitchen sees only the kitchen screen.
Giving with UK Gift Aid — always free
A giving page for tithes and offerings with the Gift Aid declaration captured at the moment of giving, and an HMRC-ready export for your claim — every £1 from an eligible UK taxpayer can become £1.25. FacilEvents provides the collection tools; the charity remains responsible for determining eligibility and submitting claims to HMRC. This module costs 0% — always.
English and Portuguese, side by side
Built for the UK’s Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking congregations: your public site can offer both languages, and every ticket email follows the buyer’s language.
Reports your treasurer will like
Sales, attendance and giving in one place, with exports. Because payments go through the church’s own account, reconciliation is reading your own statement — not chasing a platform payout.
Frequently asked questions
Is the giving module really free?
Yes — 0% fee, always, on tithes and offerings. Churches pay the standard £19.99/month + 1% only on event ticket sales. We believe giving is not a product.
How does the Gift Aid capture work?
When someone gives online, they tick the Gift Aid declaration and their details are stored with the gift. You export an HMRC-ready file from the admin for your claim — no retyping, no lost declarations. FacilEvents provides the administrative tools only: the charity remains responsible for determining eligibility and for its claims to HMRC.
Where does the money go?
Directly into the church’s own SumUp or Stripe account, at the moment of each sale or gift. FacilEvents never receives or holds the money.
Can people still pay cash at the door?
Yes. The box office records cash and card sales for tickets and food, so door sales land in the same reports as online sales.
We are a small church with no tech team — is this for us?
That is exactly who it is for. Register, connect your payment account, publish your first event — if you can use WhatsApp, you can run this. Volunteers see only the screen for their role.
