Connecting SumUp or Stripe

Your buyers pay directly into your own account. Here is how to connect it — and what switching means.

How the money flows

FacilEvents never receives or holds your ticket money. When someone buys, the payment is processed by YOUR connected provider (SumUp or Stripe) and lands in YOUR account at that moment.

FacilEvents charges you separately: £19.99/month, plus 1% of ticket sales — deducted automatically at payment for online Stripe sales; box-office sales are billed on the monthly invoice. The offerings module is always 0%.

Connecting

Go to Payments in the sidebar. Pick SumUp or Stripe and click Connect — you will be sent to the provider to log in and authorise, then brought back. That is all: no keys to copy, no code.

Do not have an account yet? Create one at sumup.co.uk or stripe.com first (free), then connect.

Switching providers

You can have ONE active provider at a time. Switching disconnects the current one; pending (unpaid) orders are cancelled and their stock returned.

Important: refunds of orders already PAID on the previous provider stop working through the system after a switch — do them before switching, or later directly in that provider’s own dashboard.
